Inge and Fille| 18mins
Director: Helle R Mysjkin | Producer: Helle R Mysjkin
Focus Years: 2000 | Country: Denmark
Synopsis:
Inge had a closed fracture of the skull at the age of seven, when she by accident drove into a hedge on her small bicycle. Today she is 44 years of age and lives in sheltered housing with her best friend, a little dog named Fille. In addition to her brain injury, through the years other illnesses turned up, among them epilepsy, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Inge has to take 56 pills every day to stay alive.
The Danish welfare system is supporting and assisting Inge, and thus -in spite of the limitations caused by her disablement - she is living a meaningful and secure life.
To me both Inge and Fille are everyday heroines.
