Synopsis:
Lilly lives in Switzerland, by Lake Geneva. When she was eight years old she finds out that she is an adopted child and that her real mother was a very young German-jew named Else Siegel. Elsie supposedly abandoned her new-born baby under very mysterious circumstances without even signing the adoption documents, and vanished in Nazi-Germany. Determined to resolve the mystery surrounding her own birth, Lilly decides at the age of 47, to search for her mother by placing a small article in an American newspaper. In the middle of the night, Lilly receives a phone call that will change her life forever: an old woman's voice with a perfect American accent asks her: "Are you Lilly? This is your mama calling from Los Angeles. Forgive me, I never abandoned you, they told me you were dead!"
