Synopsis:
A circus tent by night in a small village surrounded by mountains. Showing metaphorically a dream being there on its own. Inside the tent are people preparing for their presentation. Workers, dancers, artists, and Pedro the clown, all wishing to make people happy ignoring their own sadness.
This wonderfully quiet portrait of Pedro, the clown and art director of a small Circus in Berner Oberland, Switzerland, shows a man who lives his dreams in a world where dreams seem to have no room to exist. Marked by troubles and the fact that life sometimes is not easy, Pedro shows an amazing deepness of emotions. His character is honestly presented with all his rough edges, which results in an amazingly authentic and friendly portrait.
In the end one feels alone, like Pedro’s circus tent, lost between the mountains with a smile on one’s face and a sprinkle of light in one’s heart.
