The story tells about a friendship between a Mompa boy, Tenzin, and an Italian young woman traveling through Arunachal Pradesh, Iacobella (Iaco). They meet in an orphanage, Manjushree, run by a lama near the city of Tawang. They travel together to the plains of Assam to search for a good school for him and for another boy, Tashi, who also joins the trip. Iaco wants to become their supporter and friend. During the journey trough the tribal areas of Arunachal, Tenzin reveals to Iaco, that he can see the cosmos with his eyes, another journey is taking place within the real one.
