Synopsis:
'Fridolin' is a documentary about my friend in Berlin who studied to become a professional clown. During her BA in Political Science and Philosophy, Julia started a one-year training at 'Die Clownschule' in Hamburg. She chose the name 'Fridolin' for her clown alter ego and developed a character that allowed her to show parts of her personality she doesn't normally show i.e. her clown is very moody and also naughty whereas she is quite a calm and mature person. The film was shot on 16mm film with a Bolex in Berlin and Hamburg in 2009. Written, directed, filmed, produced and edited by me as part of my university degree course work.
