NELA is a 30-minute experimental documentary about Bosnian composer Nela Trifkovic who was granted refugee status in Australia after narrowly escaping her place of birth. As the camera follows Ms. Trifkovic and other anonymous travelers through the streets of Melbourne Australia, questions and images of belonging and displacement are brought into focus through Ms. Trifkovic’s personal story and her original music.
