DJAMBO is an opus in four parts. Set in one of the poorest countries in the world, Sierra Leone in West Africa, the film offers four intimate, passionately-felt portraits: A comedian who refuses to give up being a street-hustler and who sees life "as it is," a young man who does not believe in love, and a prostitute who waits for love. This stunningly photographed and poetically rendered documentary does not give any answers but it takes the viewer straight into the heart and minds of its protagonists. A kaleidoscopic look at one of Africa's poorest countries.
