Synopsis:
LETTERS TO A YOUNG SINGER is a film about song and psyche, and how singing is a healing instrument for soul and body. Film-director Lena Mandotter is also a singer and song therapist, and in this film she has given a creative and evocative form to many years of experience of working with the song of the soul. Letters to a Young Singer is filmed in the atmospheric Cretan Mountains in Greece together with film-photographer Thomas Frantzen who has made many films for Swedish National Broadcasting. The film had its premier at Bastad FIlmfestival, one of Swedens most known filmfestivals, instigated by internationally known film director Bo Widerberg.
