Synopsis:
Climate change is happening in India. It's causing unpredictable weather events like longer than usual drought and floods in places where they have never been experienced before. These new conditions are risking people's lives and livelihoods. Unless systematic efforts are taken up to help especially the poor women and men to adapt to the new conditions, climate change is expected to reverse peoples' human development. Now is the time to invest in technology that enables communities to gain access to energy that does not produce greenhouse gases. This technology exists and is already helping isolated communities to improve their lives and participate more actively in the progress of their country. This film gives a quick overview of the efforts undertaken by UNDP to support such technology.
