Synopsis:
Nikki Hurley has a method of coping with her vision loss by channeling her energy into the art of filmmaking. Her documentary is strategically designed to reduce stereotyping and discrimination of people who are blind and visually impaired. The goal is to educate the general public regarding people with disabilities in order to create a more inclusive culture. This film inspires people with and without disabilities to breakdown barriers in order to level the playing field for all in the realms of education, employment, and general society. "My Eyes Your Eyes" explores politics and disability as well as the use of our language as it relates to disability. Education is a method of reducing stereotyping and discrimination.
