Synopsis:
The catastrophic Tsunami, which claimed over 12,000 lives in India alone. Damage to property was enormous. The Government of India reacted with immediate large scale rescue and recovery efforts. The joint agencies of the United Nations, the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, NGOs and the Government worked together to not just provide rehabilitation, but 'build back better'; to change homes, livelihoods, infrastructure and lives for the better. This film documents what has been achieved in Tamil Nadu, with an eye on the challenges ahead.
