The 42-minute documentary, KHACHAPURI, was made in Georgia. The macro view of this documentary is focused on the total Christian society in which the traditional beliefs and religion of Georgia have not been changed, even by the modernism. And the micro view of this documentary is focused on the emotions and manners of Georgian women and social problems like divorce and family. The subject of the movie is the parallel existence of 2 symbols of Georgia, both in and out of the Georgian house: 1) Khachapuri: A traditional Georgian dish with an ancient history that can be seen as a symbol of Georgia both in and out of home. 2) Georgian women: Famous as a symbol of resistance Women play a significant role in housekeeping and also out of the house. This movie follows the reasons and motivations behind the efforts of these women in society. The efforts of the women who work regularly despite all problems like divorce in order to take responsibility for all or some of the life expenses. The women who do not complain of their jobless husbands, and they believe it is not suitable for the pride of Georgian men. This movie shows that the jobs outside the home are just for earning income, and this income is not only for the financial independence of the women like other countries, but it is aimed at another goal — the love that Georgian women have in their heart, love for their family and children. These women give any effort and ready to sacrifice themselves to keep the family together, but divorce made them start a new life with their children despite all the problems. Georgian women from every class and job fall in love in order to be a mother and sacrifice themselves to have a family.
