"13 Years After, Where Are We Today," is a film about the consequences of the bombing of the Serbian city of Nis with cluster bombs and the refusal of Serbia to sign the Convention on the prohibition of cluster bombs. Serbia was the target of cluster bombs during the conflict with NATO in 1999. At that time, Nis was bombed with cluster bombs twice. 15 people were killed from the cluster bombs in a single day, 7th of May in 1999. After the NATO bombing, the cluster bombs scattered across Serbia killed six people and wounded 12. Serbian government has not signed the Convention on the prohibition of cluster bombs yet. As a victim state, which was also a leader of the movement to ban cluster munitions, Serbia still keeps silent about the convention and refuse to give an opinion on this issue. In the movie "13 years after, where are we today," the victims of cluster bombs in Nis tell the touching story of those days, the story of life after wounding and suffering. In addition to the victims, BAN lawyers, victims of cluster munitions that have engaged in the fight against these weapons in the world explaining to people how great the danger of cluster bombs is, also talk about the need for Serbia to sign the Convention on the prohibition of cluster bombs. The doctor who cared for the wounded during the bombing of Nis and a representative of the local government at that time are also the interviewees in the film.
