Synopsis:

A film about the daily lives of the monks of Holy Transfiguration Skete, living on the shores of Lake Superior in the northern forests of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It reveals the reverence for the sublime mystery at the heart of monasticism's existence. Contemplatively paced, it evokes in the viewer a sense of interior prayer and a joy giving peace amidst a truly Christian community. In creating this mosaic of a film, the filmmakers have invited us to "set aside all earthly cares" and to mystically enter into a deeper relationship with the Divine Source.
