Greetings!
I am an independent filmmaker and journalist and the producer of Gas Rush Stories. I am a native Finn, currently living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While I was working as a broadcast journalist for the Finnish Broadcasting Company, I specialized in the issues related to environment, sustainability and public health.
Shortly after moving to the US in 2008 I learned that I now live above Marcellus Shale, one of the largest shale gas deposits in the world. In the spring of 2011 I started documenting how rapidly expanding shale gas drilling industry was changing people's lives - in good ways and bad. These three stories you see at Green Unplugged are part of Gas Rush Stories, a series of short documentaries on shale gas drilling.
