Synopsis:
The film "Tony Mandza's List" is a documentary movie exploring the event that happened on the night between 1 and 2 May 1998 in my native city - Gevgelija. At the time of the Former Yugoslavia, Gevgelija was one of the wealthier and peaceful places to live. Therefore, the Tony Mandza event had surprised and upset the inhabitants of Gevgelija, and wider public in Macedonia. As cases of murders and use of weapons were rare at that time, Tony Mandza's behavior was big shock. It seemed unbelievable: a juvenile to escape from state prison, to find a weapon and to start murdering, all in one single evening. What is more unbelievable is that although his victims were convenient, he had list of more than 50 people against whom he planned armed revenge. Without exaggerating, it sounded to be the story of a Hollywood movie, but unfortunately it really happened in my native city, and the memory of it is still very fresh among the city's inhabitants.
