Synopsis:
The film tells the story of Habib, who, after living in Istanbul for seventeen years, returned to his native village. Habib is proud of his culture and very attached to his traditions. Together with his new family he lives in Bakoline, a small village in the southeast of Turkey. His first wife and nine children stayed in Istanbul and don’t want to return to their hometown.
Now that Habib is back in his village with his new family, he has to do all the hard work by himself. As his new children are too young to help. And realises he’s not that young anymore. He misses his grown-up children, especially his sons. Now he has to go hunt and catch Kew-birds alone, make long days as a shepherd for his flock of sheep’s, look after his bees, and also rebuild the village that was abandoned for almost twenty years.
He’s very busy at trying to convince his children in Istanbul to come back to their village. He calls them often to try and explain that the situation in the village has changed. But so far, his phone calls have had no results.
