Welcome to viewers of Culture Unplugged!
Welcome to viewers of Culture Unplugged! Wrong Side of the Bus is about the conscience of a bystander in the context of South Africa during the Apartheid era. Many films are about victims, a few are about perpetrators, but very few have explored the role of the bystander - the person who sees wrongdoing but for various reasons, feels unable to do anything about it. It also has a theme of 'forgiveness' as the protagonist, Professor Sidney Bloch, attempts to seek forgiveness and explore whether others were able to forgive the crimes that they suffered.
The film has a free, downloadable Study Guide for teachers and educators, available at www.wrongsideofthebus.com. You can also buy the DVD at wwwoncemymother.com.au
