Synopsis:
"RAK-Tree of Life" covers five native tree species that have been part of the culture of UAE, specifically Ras Al Khaimah. Plants constitute the base of the food chain and this film examines how the Samr (Acacia), Sidr, Nakheel (Date Palm), Ghaf and Al Qurum (Mangrove) trees, support and sustain a fascinating variety of wildlife and people of UAE.
The film examines man and his environment. For centuries the people of UAE have lived a sustainable life. Today the old ways are fast disappearing and people have nearly forgotten how their forefathers just a few decades back lived.
