A manifesto for somatic exploration in the 21st century, LIFE TRANSFORMATIONS profiles the lives of 10 people who have used bodymind concepts and praxis to overcome challenges in their life. Their stories reflect the universal human need to get in touch with our own internal functioning in the midst of our highly technological and accelerated modern society.
The making of LIFE TRANSFORMATIONS involved the participation of people from diverse backgrounds, from children to adults. The approach to filming was very simple—one session, one take with a single handheld camera—with participants going about their bodymind activities in flow. The result is an intimate kaleidoscope of momentary vignettes that serve as microcosms for a greater social human movement toward inner awareness and progress. Everyone nowadays has their hidden oasis of bodymind exploration where they maintain internal integrity and balance—this film aims to bring these creative sanctuaries to light.
