Synopsis:
In the year 2050, there will be 9 billion people in the world. How do we make sure every mouth is fed? This series takes us around the world to examine the future of food. In this episode, Future Food is in the USA where "big ag" is big business. In Nebraska there are three cows for every human and the beef industry is worth about $6 billion a year. It has become a political game and every year, the small farmer is squeezed out more and more. Is large-scale agriculture the best way to feed the world? Or do we need the small farmer?
