Synopsis:
Nothing unites us more than our universal need for food. Whether in New York or Paris or a small farm in Kenya, we all want to sit down with our families and friends at the end of the day and share some well-deserved sustenance. Even for astronauts, what they eat is very important. Small-scale farmers are the life blood of the world’s food cultures and by sending the unique foods they produce into outer space, Chef Stefano Polato amplifies their importance. Working with ArgoTech aerospace engineering, he produces the special meals known as bonus foods that European astronauts like Italy's Samantha Cristoforetti can take aboard the space station.
