Ambulante Beyond
Ambulante Beyond aims to train new filmmakers from all over Latin America that have limited access to the necessary tools that would allow their stories to find new and widespread avenues of expression. Through modular workshops designed to meet the specific needs of the selected participants, Ambulante Beyond fosters independent production and alternative forms of aesthetic expression so that stories can be told from a unique cultural perspective — one that is not constrained by the imposition of traditional storytelling models.As a result of the workshops of this first training cycle, 50 young filmmakers from various communities of YucataÌn, Campeche, Chiapas and Guatemala have produced 10 documentary films, each approximately 20 minutes long.
